NPO MESO Music Events announced the agenda of the Forum Conference “Music Events: a tool for local growth and promotion”, an event that is part of the 4th National Meeting of the organizers of the Hellenic Network of the European Music Day programme.
Conference is organized in collaboration with the Association of the Friends of Music and will take place with the support of the Municipality of Loutraki as this year meeting will betake place in the Korinth region, at the Alexandrio Conference Center of Loutraki, on 17 -18 of March .
Panels and discussions objective aims to develop synergies between regional and national institutions, to link Greek with international cultural networks, and artists with promoters and producers. Representatives of the music industry will have the opportunity to meet prominent music experts, managers and promoters from all over Greece and discuss about the future of music sector in the wake of the recent EU adoption of the “#MusicmovesEurope” pilot project.
Among them, representatives of the European Live Music Association (ELMA), representatives of the National network of European Music Day organizers, Eleusina 2021, of major cultural organizations and festivals such as the Patras International Festival, SMOUTH and LABART from Volos, the Cultural Foundation of Piraeus Bank or the General Ephorate of Archaiological Sites of Korinthia, etc.
The meeting will focus on the present and the future challenges of live music in the wider region of eastern and southern Europe, the challenges of Greek young musicians and music professionals, the ways of cooperation between European and Greek cultural networks and of the exploitation of local synergies and spaces in the wider region of the Peloponnese.
The program includes 6 themes consisting of 2 debates, best practice presentations and 4 workshops with coaching and mentoring sessions, for which admission is free, in an effort to exchange knowledge and views.
The conference will host a conference of the Network for Internationalization of Music Producers in Europe (NIMPE) and Certified Competences for Live Events Professionals (CCLEP), two European initiatives co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus + and Creative Europe program, support, networking and training of music professionals.
