EUROPEAN MUSIC DAY 2010 - OPEN CALL
For the 11th consecutive year, the production team of European Music Day is inviting:
musicians, bands, folk groups, orchestras as well as creative and active citizens or producers to send their proposals for the production of musical events or simply, to take part in the events.
Where? In one of the 134 locations of events that will take place nationwide for Music Day and the celebrations of the Greek Network of the European Music Day. It might be in even more locations ... it’s up to you!
Seeking substantial ways to support the level of cultural access and knowledge in our society and thus fight social discrimination, racism and conservatism, we believe that by stimulating people working together, giving access to cultural ways of expression and supporting cultural action can be a good start to make things move.
The purpose of the European Music Day Network is to promote, support, even financially when possible, the production of events all over Greece, from the picturesque streets of villages up to large squares of big cities.
It network provides a framework of communication and creative support while it provides mediation, tips or materials in order to create concepts / events in public places.
There will soon be more information available regarding musicians demos and collaboration proposals.
To sum up as a conclusion, we would like to emphasize that any creative proposal from an individual, musical group or creative team is more than welcome as the right for access to culture is indisputable.
